Collene Roche

Collene has had substantial experience in the education sector. She was Principal of Carmel College, Auckland, for twelve years. During this time the school received glowing reports and became known nationally for its outstanding academic results.  She also worked as Interim Principal at McAuley High School in Otahuhu.

She has presented at workshops and at a number of conventions and conferences.  Collene works as a mentor to Principals, as a reviewer of Principals Performance Agreements of both Primary and Secondary Principals and senior management team members. She has also worked broadly with the Ministry of Education in school improvement. She has worked closely with Boards as a Governance Facilitator. She also has experience as Chair of a Board. Her experience with the Ministry of Education in the school support area has provided a variety of schools and situations which have enhanced the breadth of her experience.

Specialist Areas:  Advising Boards and management in good practice, Principal and Senior Management selection, performance review and management, building well functioning teams, investigation and remedies for areas experiencing difficulty.

She has been awarded the ONZM for Service to Education.
